Steketee Design was commissioned to support Qarry with the design and engineering of the body and interior paneling. Working within the constraints of styling, homologation, packaging, ergonomics, and manufacturability, we developed a unique vehicle that has been warmly received by customers and is rapidly gaining popularity in Dutch city centers.

Prototyping and testing were at the heart of Qarry’s development, offering the fastest and most effective path to perfecting the cabin design. After several iterations, every element fell into place, allowing the final design and engineering of the components to begin.
To reduce weight and streamline production, the entire upper section of the cabin was engineered using a lightweight sandwich construction of thermoformed parts. This innovative approach was also applied to the cabin’s floor panel, unlocking greater design flexibility and further cutting weight in key areas.
